Imagefast has launched Imagefast Portal for Microsoft SharePoint, a branded external portal that lets organisations share SharePoint content with clients, partners and occasional users without sending them into SharePoint itself. We built it because our clients kept asking for it.
Many of the organisations we support on SharePoint and Microsoft 365 have come to us with the same question. They manage their documents well inside SharePoint, but sharing them with people outside the business is awkward. They want a better way to do it without buying another system or copying their content somewhere else.
The problem our clients described
SharePoint is built for people who use it every day. When a client or partner opens a shared link, they see the full SharePoint interface: the app bar, the ribbon, site contents and the recycle bin. Nobody has shown them where to look, so they email and ask.
Over time the links pile up, some expire, and each new client or project means another site and another set of permissions. When sharing becomes too much effort, documents start leaving as email attachments or through file-transfer sites, outside the retention, data loss prevention and audit controls the organisation already pays for in Microsoft 365.
What the portal does
Imagefast Portal sits alongside SharePoint and reads from it. Each person sees a private, branded page with their documents, updates and anything waiting on them, and nothing else. The files stay where they are, in SharePoint.
- Nothing is installed into SharePoint and nothing inside your sites changes.
- SharePoint still decides who sees what. The portal keeps no access list of its own, so there is nothing to fall out of step.
- Sign-in is unchanged. People use their existing Microsoft Entra accounts, internal or guest, under the MFA and Conditional Access you already apply.
- Microsoft 365 compliance keeps working. Retention and sensitivity labels, data loss prevention, eDiscovery and Purview audit apply exactly as they do now.
- It works in any browser, on laptop, tablet and phone, with nothing to install.
An optional connector add-on brings in status, actions and reports from other systems, including Dynamics 365, Power BI, Dataverse and SQL, alongside the documents.
Who it is for
The same build works for client extranets and deal rooms, for partners, brokers and suppliers, and for a firm's own occasional users, such as board members and field staff, who have a Microsoft 365 account but don't live in SharePoint.
“Our clients have already invested in SharePoint and Microsoft 365. What they kept telling us was that the hard part is not storing documents, it is sharing them with people outside the business. They didn't want another system and a second copy of everything. The portal gives them a front door that looks like their own organisation, while SharePoint stays in charge underneath.”

Availability
Imagefast Portal for Microsoft SharePoint is available now. Each portal is delivered as a fixed-price build and supported afterwards by the Imagefast team that built it. We confirm licensing against your own Microsoft 365 tenant before quoting.
A demonstration takes 45 minutes. We show the working portal, talk through the SharePoint sites in scope and how you want it to look, and send a fixed-price quotation afterwards. You can book a demo, read more on the product page, or download the brochure (PDF, 2 MB).
